Home of College of the Mainland. Texas City stretches from I-45 to Galveston Bay.  Several parks and beaches serve the area offering recreational opportunities including boating, fishing and swimming. A well-known landmark is the Texas City Dike which extends 5 miles out into Galveston Bay.
